Interested in Working with A Design Consultant Before You Place Your Order?

For clients that would like increased guidance during the creation of their redesign plan, Unbox the Dress is excited to now offer Virtual Consultations.


  • Send us your wedding dress
  • Our team will reach out to schedule your no-obligation design consultation via Zoom
  • Together you'll create your design plan and she can help you place your order!
Having your dress in the studio will allow your consultant to provide the most accurate overview of your design options.

Together you will discuss:

  • Your gifting occasion or motivation for redesign!
  • How to maximize what can be made from your dress
  • If you would like to preserve elements of the dress for future events
  • Sizing questions
  • If dress cleaning or new fabric will be required to complete your vision
  • How best to honor the original design elements of your dress!

You pay a $25 design consultation fee, which covers your consultant’s expertise and time. This cost is credited toward your first purchase. 

If after the consultation you decide you are not yet ready to redesign, you can enjoy 3 complimentary months of our Dress Vault Storage Services, or your dress can be returned to you at the cost of S&H.

You are responsible for covering the cost of shipping your dress to the studio. For more information on shipping, please click here.

Please note that production of your heirlooms will take 5-6 weeks after you design consultation. Rush processing is available for an additional fee.

After placing your order, you are responsible for shipping your dress to:

You can ship it in its original box, or to save money, feel free to repackage it in a smaller box. We will confirm receipt of your dress via email within two days of your dress arriving at the studio. At that point we will set up your phone consultation to review the plans and details of your order.

Make sure to include the first and last name (the same one used to place your online order) on the outside or inside of your dress shipment! Your order number is also helpful but not required.

*Due to COVID-19 related shipping delays, our team recommends that you ship your wedding dress to us via FedEx or UPS.

Return Shipping Expect your return shipment from us through UPS (unless you have a P.O. Box). You'll receive tracking information via email once your Collection has shipped. Most shipments arrive between 3-5 business days, although inclement weather can cause further delay.

Unfortunately we do not accept international orders at this time.
